RASTAFARI CONTINENTAL COUNCIL TO HOST SUMMIT AND TRADE EXPO IN GHANA

The Rastafari Continental Council (RCC), will host its impending continental summit and the All Africa Rastafari Gathering (AARG) trade expo from 1-4 November, 2022, at the Kweku Andoh Sustainability Institute (KASI), Liate Wote, in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The hybrid event which will be under the auspices of the Rastafari Council, Ghana (RCG), has the theme, Connecting Afrika Through Intra-Afrikan Trade And Production

The SUMMIT

The RCC biennally holds a summit to deliberate on the organizations work and to devise strategies to achieve its objectives. The first two days will be for the conference of representatives. Topical in the deliberations will be strategies towards replicating the KASI model in Rastafari communities continent-wide.

AARG TRADE EXPO

Since 2020, the summit is held along with the All Africa Rastafari Gathering (AARG) which is a trade expo among Rastafari and the Pan-African community. Inaugurated in 2017 and adopted by the RCC in 2019, the trade expo is geared towards improving intra-African trade.

MUSIC AND ARTS

Participants in the hybrid event will be treated to a night of good reggae music and performances on November 5, at the Arts Center, Accra. Artists from across the continent will share the stage with their Ghanaian counterparts. The music event is sponsored by African Star Sound Systems. The night will also feature drumming and chanting by the various Rastafari mansions in the Council.

The summit and trade expo is attended by representatives from member countries, as well as Rastafari from around the globe.
